Inspired by Danny and Leila Abdallah's extraordinary response following the tragic loss of four children in 2020, i4Give Week is a national invitation to reflect on forgiveness and the difference it can make in our lives, relationships and communities.
Their example is the inspiration. The week is about the conversations and thoughtful actions that schools, communities, workplaces and individuals can choose to make their own.
You don't need to organise a major event. A class discussion, team gathering, faith-community reflection or simple activity can be a meaningful way to take part.
Tell us whether you're participating as a school, faith community, workplace, community organisation or individual.
Receive updates and audience-appropriate free resources as they become available.
Choose a conversation, reflection or activity that suits the people you're bringing together during 15–21 February.
If you're comfortable, share a story or learning with the i4Give team with the appropriate approvals and permissions.
Participating NSW schools can register to receive an olive tree, generously donated by Bunnings, to plant as a symbol of forgiveness, peace and hope. Learn about forgiveness together, plant the tree and watch it become a continuing reminder in your school community.
Hold a classroom discussion or assembly, share an age-appropriate i4Give video, or explore forgiveness, empathy and kindness through practical activities like planting an olive tree. Register to receive school resources and participation ideas.
Bring people together for teaching, prayer, reflection, conversation or an appropriate community activity. Use relevant i4Give resources to explore forgiveness within your own faith context.
Host a morning tea, team conversation or reflection about forgiveness, empathy and the ways people respond to conflict. Use free i4Give ideas to make the activity simple to organise.
Gather with others, reflect on forgiveness, consider a practical act of kindness or share an experience if you wish. Participation can be as simple or involved as suits your circumstances.
Register your organisation, school, community group or individual participation.
Registered participants will receive information about free i4Give resources when released. Expected resources may include short videos, practical activity suggestions, conversation guides and audience-specific ideas.
i4Give Week culminates on Sunday 21 February 2027 at Prince Alfred Park, Parramatta from 4:00pm – 9:00pm. This free, family-friendly event will bring people together to reflect on and celebrate forgiveness, hope, healing and unity.
Forgiveness is a choice, not a feeling. Every journey is different. It does not excuse wrongdoing, minimise the need for justice or require someone to reconcile with a person who has caused harm. No one should feel pressured to forgive or share painful experiences publicly.
Register your details to receive i4Give Week updates, participation information and free resources as they become available.
Please make sure you enter the correct school, organisation or community group so the right participation information and resources can be provided.
