About us

About us

Parents Danny & Leila Abdallah have created i4give Day as a remembrance of the four saints that were tragically passed into eternal life on the 1st of February 2020.

About Leila Abdallah

Leila Abdallah is a mother, international speaker, and advocate for forgiveness and healing. She is the proud mother of eight children, three who live on in heaven and five who continue to walk beside her every day.

In February 2020, Leila’s life changed forever when three of her children were tragically killed by a driver under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Within 48 hours of this loss, Leila made the conscious decision to forgive the driver, a choice that would go on to shape the direction of her life and work.

This decision led to the creation of i4Give, which Leila co-founded alongside her husband, Daniel Abdallah. Through the foundation, Leila teaches that forgiveness is not about excusing wrongdoing or forgetting pain, but about reclaiming peace, personal responsibility, and the power to choose how suffering shapes the future.

Leila has been recognised for her courage and leadership, including being awarded Mother of the Year. She is now a national and international speaker, sharing her message across schools, communities, conferences, and global platforms.

Through lived experience, education, and storytelling, Leila continues to inspire individuals and communities to transform pain into purpose and to choose forgiveness as a path to healing, strength, and hope.

About Danny Abdallah

Danny Abdallah is a husband and father first, he would say a full-time father, part-time worker, who is deeply committed to his family and to living a life grounded in faith, integrity, and service.

His life changed forever on 1 February 2020, when he lost three of his children, Antony, Angelina, and Sienna, along with his niece, Veronique Sakr. From that day forward, Danny has carried a grief that will remain with him for the rest of his life. It is not something that disappears, but something he walks with, shaping who he is, how he loves, and why he chooses forgiveness.

In the face of unimaginable loss, Danny made a decision that defied public expectation. He chose to forgive the man responsible for the deaths of his children. This forgiveness was not symbolic or distant. Danny visited the driver in prison, built a relationship with him, and shared the gospel with him. Through that relationship, the driver encountered faith and became a Christian. For Danny, forgiveness was not a moment, but a lifelong commitment to healing, accountability, and transformation.

This journey has taught Danny that even in profound loss, there can still be purpose. Through his leadership in the i4Give Foundation and initiatives such as i4Give Day, he honours his children by choosing love, generosity and compassion, and by inviting others to reflect on the life-changing power of forgiveness.

Our purpose

i4Give Foundation exists to turn pain into purpose

We help individuals and communities break free from anger, bitterness, and division by choosing forgiveness as a path to healing, strength, and hope.
Forgiveness is a choice.

And that choice can change everything.

Our purpose for 2026

In 2026, the purpose of i4Give Foundation is to deepen our impact by turning forgiveness into action across communities, institutions, and generations.
We exist to promote forgiveness as a pathway to healing, stronger mental health, and restored lives. Through the annual i4Give Cup, we use sport as a powerful platform to encourage forgiveness, connection, and conversation around mental health, while supporting our ongoing suicide prevention efforts.

In 2026, we will share our story globally through the launch of our book, extending the message of forgiveness, faith, and hope to individuals and families navigating grief, anger, and loss.

We will continue and expand our restorative justice initiatives within correctional facilities, sharing the gospel and the power of forgiveness to bring accountability, healing, and transformation to incarcerated individuals.
Through events, community gatherings, and speaking engagements in schools, organisations, and international forums, we will equip people with practical tools to build resilience, empathy, and purpose.

Our mission in 2026 is simple and intentional: to prevent despair, restore hope and show that forgiveness has the power to save lives, heal hearts, and change communities.
Like the olive tree, which grows slowly, survives harsh conditions, and bears fruit for generations, forgiveness is not a quick fix. It is a deliberate choice made over time. We will be planting an olive tree to symbolise this growth.

Our vision

We envision a world where forgiveness is understood as strength, not weakness. A world where individuals and communities rise above anger, division and pain to live with purpose, compassion, and hope.

i4Give seeks to create a culture where people are equipped to respond to hurt with courage, take responsibility for their own healing, and choose unity over division, even in the face of injustice and loss.

Our vision is for forgiveness to be lived out in homes, schools, communities and institutions across the world, shaping resilient individuals, stronger families, and safer, more connected societies.

We are stronger united than divided.

A message from our chairman

Forgiveness has the power to transform lives, relationships, communities and even nations. The powerful witness of Danny and Leila Abdallah is living proof of such transformation.

The i4Give Foundation seeks to share the message of forgiveness with all Australians, especially on i4Give day, to encourage them to consider how acts of forgiveness can help to improve their own wellbeing and the relationships they share with others.

i4Give seeks to work with other organisations who share our vision to promote forgiveness in all walks of life, from our prisons to our schools, our places of worship and workplaces and, of course, our own homes.

I encourage you to join us on the forgiveness journey. We would welcome your support, but even more importantly I encourage you to take the i4Give challenge and ask yourself who do you need to forgive today, or perhaps who do you need to seek forgiveness from.

I wish you well on your forgiveness journey.
